New Sam Gary Library to Break Ground May 19

Remarks by City Librarian, Shirley Amore, Mayor Guillermo (Bill) Vidal, Councilman Michael   Hancock, Library Commission President, Karen Rokala, and Denver Public Library Friends Foundation President, Mike King.

The 28,000 square-foot library will be located at the intersection of 29th Drive and Roslyn Street, just north of the E 29th Ave Town Center. The new facility will provide much-needed library services to Central Park and the surrounding neighborhoods, which have lacked a nearby Denver Public Library branch.

The new branch is anticipated to open in mid-2012.
